Chris Moore — Written Admissions & Misdirection
Platform VP · Go Auto Haus Volkswagen · April 29, 2026 · CC'd to LendCare & VW Care Canada
What This Page Documents
On April 28, 2026, Go Auto Haus General Sales Manager Lucas Wilson sent an automated "Can I Help?" marketing email to Crystal Nelson — the owner of a vehicle that had been sold to her with concealed pre-existing faults. Tyler Johnston-Kent replied, immediately CC'ing LendCare, and demanding contract rescission.
Chris Moore, Platform VP overseeing Go Auto Haus Volkswagen and three other Go Auto dealerships, entered the thread the following morning. Over the course of April 29, 2026, he made four written statements that are each independently verifiable and false, or directly contradict documents in the record.
The entire thread was CC'd throughout to: LendCare Customer Support, VW Care Canada, and [email protected].
Admission 1 — Denying the Carfax Shop Code
What the Carfax Record Shows
The vehicle's Carfax history contains two service entries under Go Auto Haus Volkswagen's shop code VUGIOTJ001:
Date: September 19, 2025
Odometer: 173,045 km
Services: Vehicle serviced · Vehicle washed/detailed · Odometer reported as 173,045 km
Date: December 29, 2025
Odometer: not reported
Services: Vehicle serviced · Maintenance inspection completed
Why the September 19th Entry Is Impossible Without Possession
The bill of sale is dated September 17, 2025. The odometer at sale was 173,045 km — the exact same odometer reading recorded in the September 19th Carfax entry. A vehicle cannot be serviced at a dealership on September 19th at the same odometer reading it had when it left that dealership on September 17th. The vehicle was still in Go Auto Haus's possession, or the entry was filed retroactively for a date before delivery. Either way, the owner Crystal Nelson did not authorize it.
"No, the Carfax does not say where it was done."
— Chris Moore · April 29, 2026 · 12:24 PM · First denial of Carfax entry"Perhaps the Ai tool your using in these responses is creating some illusions of data. There is no shop code identity VUGIOTJ001 or anything of the short on that report. I have never seen or heard of this code."
— Chris Moore · April 29, 2026 · 3:36 PM · Final response, accusing consumer of fabricating Carfax data using AIcarfax.ca/Service/Shops/GoAuto-Haus-Volkswagen-Winnipeg-MB_VUGIOTJ001. Carfax does not generate shop codes from AI tools — it receives them from dealership management software. Chris Moore stated in writing that this code does not exist and has never been seen. The code is attached to Go Auto Haus Volkswagen's own service history profile on the Carfax platform.Admission 2 — Mechanical Fitness Assessment Does Not Exist
What the Bill of Sale Says
The bill of sale drafted by Go Auto Haus Volkswagen and signed by Crystal Nelson contains a signing block labeled "MECHANICAL FITNESS". Crystal signed acknowledging receipt of this document. The bill of sale does not say "Certificate of Inspection" on that line.
"The mechanical fitness inspection is a carbon copy document. The customer copy layer and insurance copy layer are attached to one another — if we did not provide this to you as you indicate you wouldn't be able to have registered your car at time of sale. I've attached the scanned copy we have on file here for your reference."
— Chris Moore · April 29, 2026 · 1:50 PM · Attaches Certificate of Inspection (not an MFA)What Chris Actually Sent: Certificate of Inspection (COI)
The document Chris attached — file: 124168 safety.pdf — is a Manitoba Certificate of Inspection, issued under Manitoba's Vehicle Inspection program, not an Alberta Mechanical Fitness Assessment. These are distinct documents from distinct provincial regulatory regimes. Manitoba uses the COI; Alberta uses the MFA. The bill of sale signing block says "MECHANICAL FITNESS." Chris sent the COI and called it the same thing.
"You've attached a form used in Alberta. You bought the vehicle from a dealership in Manitoba. You are Manitoba residents. We only use Manitoba required documents aka the COI. You claim you signed a mechanical fitness form however we don't use them here, never have. There is no such form in your documents."
— Chris Moore · April 29, 2026 · 2:13 PM · Written confirmation MFA does not exist in their processThe Safety Report Chris Sent Contradicts His Own Claims
Chris's Position on ECU Scanning
Throughout the thread, Chris Moore repeatedly stated that sporadic ECU fault codes are not part of the inspection or reconditioning process:
"The sporadic codes do not trigger a CEL. It is not part of the reconditioning process nor a requirement to scan a vehicles ECM as part of a inspection or safety."
— Chris Moore · April 29, 2026 · 12:24 PMWhat the Certificate of Inspection He Provided Actually Says
The safety inspection form Chris sent as evidence — the Manitoba Certificate of Inspection — explicitly lists the following as required inspection items:
The vehicle's pre-existing fault codes include electrical system failures (BCM, data bus, remote key current faults), fuel and exhaust system involvement (catalytic converter reaching 1,074°F on load from a misfiring engine), and a selector lever fault. The inspection form Chris provided confirms these are inspection categories — yet the certified inspection missed every active fault on this vehicle.
Pattern of Misdirection in Writing
AI as Assistive Technology — Disability Context
The AI Accusation Is Not a Neutral Comment
Tyler Johnston-Kent has ADHD and uses AI tools as an assistive accessibility technology. Chris Moore, in a written commercial dispute involving a disabled consumer, chose to mock and dismiss the use of that tool as a source of "illusions of data." He did not engage with the underlying evidence. He targeted the method of communication.
Under Manitoba's Human Rights Code, a service provider cannot discriminate against or harass a person based on disability in the context of a commercial transaction. Dismissing a disabled consumer's documented evidence by mocking their use of an assistive tool — particularly while those communications are on the record — constitutes disability-based harassment in the provision of a service.
The Manitoba Human Rights Commission accepts complaints within one year of the incident. The date of Chris Moore's AI accusation is April 29, 2026.
