What the record shows
- The May 24 email reports that Pembina accepted the guitar. On May 25, Dave Reeves apologizes for cradled_filth’s conduct, says the video clearly shows a grounding issue and says the guitar should have been taken in without question.
- Reeves says cradled_filth believed the noise was standard pickup interference; he says he does not think cradled_filth intended malice, while acknowledging lines were crossed and offering to cover repair costs.
- The acknowledgement resolves the disputed technical point: management agrees that the grounding problem reported by the customer was real.
