The Complaint -
“Put off by the racism accusations”
Steve’s response focuses on whether his own comments could have been racial.
In this entry: Tyler, Steve Long, Jason Charney
What the record shows
- Steve says he discussed the issue with Jason and believed it had been sorted out, so he did not feel further discussion was needed.
- He says he was “put off by the racism accusations,” explains that he had never met Tyler and says his comments had nothing to do with race. He again offers a telephone call.
- The complaint concerned staff and corporate treatment. A response about Steve’s personal knowledge of Tyler’s race does not answer the underlying account of how the service interaction was handled.
