2025-09-16 to 2025-09-25 — COMP 1002 instructor offers remote demonstrations, then sets in-person quiz expectations

Franklin Bristow emailed Tyler on September 16 after a teaching assistant relayed concerns about in-person assessments. Bristow offered remote, synchronous screen-sharing for observed assignment tasks. Tyler accepted on September 17 and proposed monthly Zoom check-ins or short recordings for software checks. On September 23 Bristow apologized for a delayed reply, clarified that remote assessment applied to observed assignment tasks, and said quizzes and the final exam remained in person. On September 25 he reiterated that course policy and SAS communication governed the accommodations, offered a no-penalty extension on the first assignment to October 2, and proposed a remote meeting.
