The Ban -
Steve cites negative social-media posts in the national ban
Public criticism is an express reason in the notice itself.
In this entry: Tyler, Steve Long, Jason Charney
What the record shows
- Steve’s notice cites continued animosity toward employees and “negative social media posts about our company,” then says Tyler is no longer welcome at any Long & McQuade location.
- The message says police will be called if Tyler enters. It offers return or payoff of items still owing, followed by removal of customer information, and says the decision is non-negotiable.
- The relationship between public criticism and this restriction does not need to be inferred from timing: the email names negative posts as part of its reason. The larger retaliation inference is assessed against the preceding complaint and restriction sequence.
